INCAS participated with a dedicated team in the CELLO (Cloud and EarthCARE caL/vaL
Observations) campaign, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) through a contract
with the University of Oslo in July 2024. The campaign took place in Cape Verde, Africa,
starting on August 10, 2024, and involved eight research flights aimed at validating
EarthCARE satellite products. This initiative was a valuable opportunity for INCAS to
collaborate with international partners, demonstrate its technical expertise in satellite data
calibration and validation, and contribute to the success of the mission. Additionally, a
research flight was conducted as part of the BRACE-MY project. ESA recognized INCAS for its outstanding commitment in organizing and executing a complex research campaign
within a short timeframe, highlighting the team’s operational efficiency and technical
capabilities.
