MC2-ICEPACKS campaign and exchange of staff 2023

INCAS participated with its representatives at several exchange visits as part of the BRACE-
MY project. The first exchange took place in February and March of 2023, when members of
the INCAS, UiO, and ASP teams met at the Andøya Space Center in Andenes, Norway, for
the externally funded MC2-ICEPACKS campaign. The main topics included INP
measurements, flight planning, and sampling strategy meetings, which provided INCAS with
a valuable opportunity to meet colleagues from UiO and ASP, learn about field operations,
and discuss collaboration opportunities. In May and September of 2023, Robert Oscar David
visited INCAS to discuss the HERA system installation on the King Air and participated in a
cloud radar training. Further exchanges are planned, including visits from TROPOS PhD
students and scientists to INCAS for HERA operation training and a visit from INCAS
personnel to TROPOS for CCNC calibration. These exchanges aim to strengthen
collaboration and enhance expertise in atmospheric research.
