INCAS participated with its representatives at the joint Norwegian and Romanian (NOROs)
Winter School on “Cloud Microphysics: From measurements to modeling” hosted at the
INCAS facilities from January 16th to 19th, 2024. The main topic was the role of clouds in
the climate system, covering aspects from cloud formation and observation to their
representation in Earth System Models and impact on climate. The event was a great
opportunity for INCAS to meet colleagues from UiO, TROPOS, Stockholm University, and
the University of Bucharest, to learn about cutting-edge research in cloud microphysics, and
to present its activities related to atmospheric research. The school, which involved lectures
and practicals, was mainly targeted at Romanian students but also attended by three PhD
students from Norway, fostering valuable connections and collaboration in cloud
microphysics research.
